Thrust Roller Bearing

Needle Thrust Roller Bearings

Thrust roller bearings are used to bear the combined axial and radial load, mainly the axial load. Still, the radial load shall not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this type of bearing has a lower friction factor, higher speed, and has self-aligning performance.Thrust roller bearings are widely used in the steel industry, mining and construction, paper machinery, wind turbines, machine tools, gearboxes, motors, pumps and compressors, and injection molding machines.
We develop and produce tailor-made thrust roller bearings for businesses. Benefit from our many years of experience. The design and material selection of your thrust roller bearings are based on your needs, your application, and its specifications. Please get in touch with us for details.

Needle thrust roller bearings are fitted with a form-stable cage to retain and guide many needle rollers reliably. Needle thrust roller bearings provide a high stiffness within a minimum axial space. In applications where the faces of adjacent machine components can serve as raceways, needle thrust roller bearings take up no more space than a conventional thrust washer.

Needle thrust roller bearings feature needle-type rollers and cages made from precisely formed, surface hardened steel plates.

Other features include:

  • Rigid structure and good lubricant capacity.
  • Lowest sectional height of all thrust bearings.
  • Suitable replacement for thrust washers.
  • Withstands high-speed rotations with a low coefficient of friction.
  • Thin inner (WS) and outer (GS) rings and super-thin (1 mm thick) thrust washers (AS) are available for use in various applications.

Needle thrust roller bearings are available in 5 mm to 240 mm (0.1969 – 9.4488 inch) and complemented needle rollers held in place by a cage.

Needle thrust roller and cage assemblies complement small diameter needle rollers arranged in a spoke-like configuration. The purpose of these assemblies is to transmit a thrust load between two relatively rotating objects while significantly reducing friction. Needle rollers are equally spaced, employing a cage whose webs section separates the rollers and provides guidance to keep them tracking in an orbital path.

Needle thrust roller and cage assemblies also can be unitized with lipped washers, which serve as raceway surfaces for the needle rollers. We can be supplied separately or can be mechanically unitized to the needle roller thrust assemblies for ease of handling
All types have microscopic cross-sections. Hardening washers are available if the backup surfaces cannot be used as raceways. Thrust bearings are also available with needle rollers or heavier cylindrical rollers for high load-carrying capacity.

Features of Needle thrust roller bearings:

  • One-way fool-proof assembly features, anti-rotation locking features, and lubrication flow enhancements.
  • High-speed performance and application flexibility.
