Thrust ball bearings are designed to carry axial loads only, and they can’t take any radial loads. They can usually be found in the application of a vertical shaft. HOJE thrust ball bearings are available in types of single-direction thrust ball bearings and double-direction thrust ball bearings. Single-direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer, and a ball and cage assembly. They can support axial loads only in 1 direction. Therefore, they are usually used in matched sets. Double-direction thrust ball bearings consist of 1 shaft washer, 2 housing washers, and 2 ball and cage assemblies. They can support axial loads only in both directions.
